National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Baghpat brick kilns

Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, Avantar News:

The role of Indian judiciary is two fold – resolution of disputes and custodian of law of the land which includes the interpretation and implementation of it. The recent Environmental jurisprudence is credited to the Indian judiciary with Hon’ble Supreme Court and Hon’ble High Courts taking charge and resolving ambiguity in law and defining the rights and duties of citizens and enforcement agencies. The establishment of National Green Tribunal is another step taken by the Indian judiciary towards sustainable development.

Recently, the issue of illegal operation of brick kiln in the district of Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh was raised before Hon’ble National Green Tribunal (NGT) for remedial actions. The NGT directed authorities to ensure compliance against operation of brick kilns.
