In the matter Dibru Part-I Meen Samabay Samiti & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated July 15, 2021 the Eastern Zone of the National Green Tribunal in matter related to fishery rights in the Dibru Saikhowa National Park, Assam.

The respondent counsel informed the NGT that a notification dated January 30, 2020 has been issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, declaring the ‘Eco-Sensitive Zone’ around the Dibru Saikhowa National Park.

The court directed that the notification be brought on record by way of affidavit within two weeks and listed the matter of August 13, 2021.
